SPHERICAL (4 PERF) PL STILL CAMERA

WHATS THIS?
A micro-run of Olympus Pen F (4 Perf) 35MM still cameras modified to PL. It shoots a half frame of 35mm film, when the camera is positioned vertically the frame is horizontal & vice versa. Perfect for framing, scouting, pre-vis, stock & development tests, wardrobe looks, lens testing, still photography, BTS, diptychs, fun etc. Easy & compact enough to throw in your kit on a scout or use it to compose a shot on set. It comes with a removable handle made of colorful recycled skateboard deck plys. The Pen Finder allows directors & cinematographers to shoot stills with the same motion picture film stocks & cinema lenses* you might use on your larger project. IMPORTANT TECHNICAL NOTES
* When the camera is in vertical orientation it shoots a horizontal image.
** A 36 Exposure roll of 35mm will yield 72 Exposures in 4Perf.
*** Film camera shutter speeds can vary slightly from what the dial number states due to temperature & wear, when your exposure information is absolutely critical it’s best to use a strobe shutter tester for absolute precision.
**** Camera Gate is very close in size to 4Perf Super35, measuring 23.3mm x 16.6mm, stock ground glass contains a central focus aid. Format lines can be added with thin pieces of tape by user.
***** Each camera’s FFD calibration is set with a depth gauge and film tested before shipping, however should you encounter an issue in the first 45 days of ownership I will gladly make it right with a fix or replacement.
****** Lenses with long rear elements or cones can interfere with mirror shutter, some will mount fine for viewing but not clear the mirror swing during exposure. Consult the included mount depth checker if you are not 100% certain. Alternatively remove the mount from the camera to check if the optics protrude beyond the rear of PL mount cylinder.
******* F Cameras viewfinders are slightly brighter, and require 2 cranks to advance the film. FT cameras have a built in timer & requires only 1 crank to advance the film.
